What You'll Do10
- 1Build patient appointment schedules across multiple departments and systems to ensure timely care
- 2Design efficient scheduling workflows for tests and procedures to minimize wait times and no surprises at point of service
- 3Lead patient intake by collecting demographics, insurance info and documents to secure authorizations and referrals
- 4Ship pre and post-test instructions and location directions to patients to prepare them for examinations
- 5Own patient communications across phone, chat, email and EMR messaging to deliver an easy, empathetic experience
- 6Scale scheduling operations during high volume periods while maintaining accuracy and compliance
- 7Drive coordination with facilities, providers and payers to align resources
- 8Manage scanned documents and orders in imaging software to ensure completeness before appointments
- 9Debug discrepancies in insurance and authorization data to prevent scheduling errors
- 10Collaborate with other scheduling departments when needed to maintain service levels
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma or GED
- 21+ years of customer service or healthcare scheduling experience
- 3Experience in high paced inbound call center environment
- 4Ability to use technology tools to research and respond to inquiries via calls, emails, or chat
- 5Strong typing, organizational and time management skills
