Health Care Associate Attorney - Regulatory & Transactions
Overview
You will own health care regulatory and transactional matters for providers, health systems, and industry participants. Working across offices with a top Am Law 100 firm, you will navigate HIPAA, Stark Law, and Anti-Kickback Statute compliance. You will draft and negotiate provider agreements and vendor contracts, advise on Medicare and Medicaid rules, and support strategic transactions. This role offers direct client interaction and mentorship in a collaborative practice.
What You'll Do8
- 1Advise health care providers and health systems on regulatory compliance and transactional matters under HIPAA, Stark Law, and Anti-Kickback Statute.
- 2Analyze federal and state health care laws, including Medicare and Medicaid requirements and provider licensure regulations.
- 3Draft, review, and negotiate provider agreements, vendor contracts, and business associate agreements.
- 4Conduct legal research and deliver practical guidance on complex compliance issues.
- 5Support health care transactions, strategic initiatives, and operational matters across practice groups.
- 6Collaborate with attorneys across offices to craft comprehensive client solutions.
- 7Assist with client presentations, business development initiatives, and industry events.
- 8Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a high-volume practice.
Requirements9
- 12-4 years of health care regulatory and transactional experience.
- 2Prior law firm experience preferred.
- 3Strong knowledge of federal and state health care regulatory frameworks.
- 4Experience drafting and negotiating health care-related contracts and agreements.
- 5Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- 6Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- 7Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- 8JD from an accredited law school.
- 9Licensed in Illinois, Minnesota, or Washington, DC, or eligible for prompt admission through waiver.
Salary Insight
$210 - $280k per year
