What You'll Do7
- 1Lead change-of-owner (CHOW) licensing applications for healthcare facilities, ensuring timely approvals and compliance with state regulations.
- 2Advise operational leadership on regulatory matters, including HIPAA, PHI handling, and data privacy, to mitigate legal risk.
- 3Draft and negotiate contracts, policies, and procedures related to healthcare regulatory compliance.
- 4Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement compliance strategies aligned with business growth.
- 5Monitor changes in healthcare laws and regulations, updating internal stakeholders on potential impacts.
- 6Conduct internal audits and investigations to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- 7Represent the organization in discussions with regulatory agencies during licensing and compliance reviews.
Requirements7
- 15+ years of legal experience with a strong emphasis on healthcare regulations.
- 2Demonstrated experience with CHOW licensing.
- 3Working knowledge of healthcare regulatory frameworks, including HIPAA.
- 4Strong understanding of PHI handling, data privacy, and security.
- 5Superior drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
- 6Licensed to practice law in Tennessee (or eligible for in-house exemption).
- 7Experience in both law firm and in-house healthcare environments strongly preferred.
Salary Insight
