Health and Wellness Director (Assisted Living)
Overview
Cogir Senior Living, headquartered in Scottsdale Arizona, seeks a Health and Wellness Director to lead resident care across 11 states. This role drives exceptional clinical support and operational excellence while fostering a supportive environment for staff and residents alike.
What You'll Do9
- 1Foster a resident-centered approach to planning and delivering services, supporting residents' rights to participate in decision-making and treating them with dignity and respect
- 2Assess residents' health functional and psychosocial status, initiating individualized service plans to maximize opportunities for continued residence
- 3Establish and maintain medication programs oversee all hiring promotions disciplinary actions and terminations of licensed nursing staff
- 4Provide hands-on training supervision and staff development while communicating regularly with resident families about health care needs
- 5Maintain current departmental policies procedures and licenses following company federal state and local requirements
- 6Ensure resident records and charting are current and up to date
- 7Participate in marketing efforts representing the community positively to external agencies
- 8Lead a multidisciplinary team through strategic initiatives that enhance resident outcomes and employee engagement
- 9Develop budget strategies coordinate staff development and implement scheduling solutions to meet operational demands
Requirements7
- 1LVN/LPN or RN nursing license in good standing with associate degree or higher preferred
- 2Current state-required certifications including First Aid CPR and other applicable credentials
- 3At least four years of geriatric nursing experience covering medication administration delivery systems and pharmacy practices
- 4Minimum two years in supervisory roles managing budgets staff development training and scheduling
- 5Proven experience in memory care settings
- 6Outstanding organizational skills proficient in Microsoft Office and able to work flexible schedules including weekends holidays and overtime with 24/7 on-call capability
- 7Ability to meet all mandatory health requirements as dictated by state regulations
