What You'll Do11
- 1Envision and execute next-generation ligand binding assay (LBA) strategies, driving high-throughput automated alternatives to traditional plate-based assays
- 2Keep abreast of scientific breakthroughs; identify and license promising diagnostic platforms
- 3Set objectives for and manage multiple assay development projects including serological and toxicological studies
- 4Drive prioritization of clinical epidemiological studies by optimizing logistical testing resources
- 5Author and review technical documents, validations, regulatory responses, and scientific publications
- 6Collaborate across internal Vaccines R&D teams and external partners to integrate cutting-edge testing technologies
- 7Lead technology transfers and represent department in key scientific discussions
- 8Direct and mentor diverse team of scientists including management of subordinate managers
- 9Ensure laboratory work adheres to Pfizer values, SOPs, and GCLP/cGMP standards
- 10Influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee colleague work to achieve outcomes
- 11Maintain compliance with Pfizer policies and regulatory requirements
Requirements10
- 1PhD in Immunology or related biological field
- 25+ years industry experience leading advanced tool development
- 3Experience managing managers and mentoring junior scientists
- 4Deep expertise in assay development lifecycle management
- 5Strong background in robotic sample handling, clinical batching, DoE, and biostatistical analysis
- 6Expert knowledge of analytical/clinical validations under GCLP/cGMP guidelines
- 7Proficiency with LIMS, DoE software, and enterprise suites
- 8Strong publication record and presentation skills for senior leadership
- 9Experience leveraging AI or advanced algorithmic scheduling software for lab automation
- 10Regulatory agency interaction experience
