Overview

You will own the multi-year funding roadmap for Achieve, a fintech with over $40B in enrollments and $11B in loan originations, reporting directly to the President of Lending. You will run a funding stack spanning ABS, forward flow agreements, and warehouse lines, optimizing across cost, capacity, and resilience. Working with Credit Risk, Finance, and Technology, you will build the AI-enabled Capital Allocation Engine and institutional-grade investor data platforms. This role uniquely blends strategic vision with hands-on transaction execution in a rapidly scaling business.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Design and guide Achieve's funding stack as a diversified portfolio, optimizing across cost of capital, certainty of takeout, capacity, and resilience.
  • 2Architect and oversee forward flow agreements by segmenting partners by credit boxes and product types to maintain continuous liquidity.
  • 3Expand and diversify a bank roster for warehouse lines, structuring staggered maturities and flexible terms to maximize liquidity under stress.
  • 4Maintain a predictable, programmatic ABS issuance cadence across cycles to achieve step-down spread compression relative to peers.
  • 5Partner with Credit Risk to align credit boxes with forward flow eligibility, warehouse advance criteria, and ABS structural requirements.
  • 6Collaborate with Finance and Treasury to manage corporate liquidity through capital markets activities, ensuring a self-funded cushion.
  • 7Drive the AI-enabled Capital Allocation Engine by partnering with technology to automate best execution routing for everyday origination volume.
  • 8Oversee the construction of a unified loan data warehouse and self-service investor portal, replacing static data tapes with dynamic cohort tracking.
  • 9Extend modeling capabilities to emulate rating agency stress scenarios, predicting structural implications and tradeoffs.
  • 10Lead cross-functional rhythms, synthesizing investor feedback and establishing gates for new product launches with committed funding.

Requirements7

  • 112+ years in consumer structured finance, investment banking, asset management, or fintech capital markets, including 3-5+ years leading the Capital Markets function.
  • 2Proven track record managing programmatic ABS platforms and negotiating committed forward-flow and warehouse facilities.
  • 3Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, or quantitative discipline; MBA, CFA, or advanced degree highly preferred.
  • 4Distinguished expert with deep familiarity with structural waterfalls, stress simulations, and advanced modeling.
  • 5Owner mindset, treating investor demand as a managed portfolio and tying outcomes to long-term enterprise value.
  • 6Transparent communicator with exceptional relationship-building skills, rooted in proactive transparency.
  • 7Experience building high-performing, cross-functional teams across Investor Relations, Structuring, Investor Reporting & Data, Loan Products & Capital Strategy, and Risk & Portfolio Surveillance.
