Hardware Project Manager, Electronics NPI & Build Leadership
Overview
Own hardware program management for consumer electronics at scale, leading cross functional teams and managing supplier and partner relationships. You will drive build management and phase gate processes across hardware design, verification, and manufacturing. Collaborate with engineering, sourcing, and operations to deliver on program milestones and cost targets. This role is onsite in San Jose and focuses on hands on leadership in a long term contract setting.
What You'll Do5
- 1Build and drive hardware programs from concept to production, coordinating cross functional teams and suppliers to meet milestones
- 2Design and implement phase-gate processes for NPI product development, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule targets
- 3Lead technical reviews and risk management sessions, escalating issues and executing corrective actions when needed
- 4Ship hardware deliverables on time by aligning engineering, manufacturing, and quality groups across multiple sites
- 5Scale hardware programs for mass production, coordinating test plans, validation, and transfer to manufacturing
Requirements4
- 1Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 25+ years of hardware program management, technical leadership, or product design engineering experience
- 3Strong consumer electronics hardware and NPI product development experience
- 4Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams, suppliers, and development partners
