Product Manager, Hardware Development
Overview
Own hardware product execution from concept through mass production for electromechanical products in a direct hire role at AppleOne in Los Angeles. Drive EVT, DVT, and PVT cycles, partnering with engineering, firmware, manufacturing, and design teams to deliver high-quality products. Collaborate with China-based manufacturing partners on DFM, tooling, and yield improvement. This role offers high visibility and measurable impact in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
What You'll Do6
- 1Drive hardware product execution from concept through mass production, owning roadmap delivery, schedules, milestones, and risk management.
- 2Lead cross-functional teams to define requirements and make product decisions across mechanical, electrical, firmware, UX, and marketing.
- 3Manage EVT, DVT, and PVT planning, including validation strategies, test plans, and production readiness.
- 4Partner with China-based manufacturing teams on DFM, tooling, ramp-up, quality control, and yield improvement.
- 5Analyze field data, telemetry, and failure analysis to improve reliability and lifecycle planning.
- 6Serve as the single accountable owner for assigned hardware platforms, meeting technical, schedule, quality, and business goals.
Requirements6
- 15+ years in hardware product management or engineering leadership with electromechanical products
- 2Deep understanding of EVT, DVT, and PVT processes
- 3Experience with DFM and manufacturing partnerships in China
- 4Strong technical background in mechanical, electrical, or firmware engineering
- 5Proven track record taking products from concept to mass production
- 6Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills
