Overview
You will manage a dedicated route of 40-50 homes across Oakland, Berkeley, and Piedmont as the trusted handyman for each homeowner. You will perform residential repairs and maintenance across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and drywall. Work Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm with no weekends, on-call, or overtime. Earn $36/hr plus a $1,500 sign-on bonus, full benefits, and equity in the business.
What You'll Do8
- 1Manage a dedicated route of 40-50 residential homes across Oakland, Berkeley, and Piedmont
- 2Perform carpentry repairs including doors, trim, framing, and general repairs
- 3Handle painting and drywall patching to a professional standard
- 4Fix plumbing issues such as toilets, faucets, and minor pipe repairs
- 5Repair electrical fixtures, outlets, and small wiring tasks
- 6Install smart home devices for homeowners
- 7Deliver outstanding customer service and build long-term homeowner relationships
- 8Use the Honey Homes mobile app to track jobs, tasks, and schedules
Requirements9
- 15+ years of handyman, maintenance technician, or multi-trade experience
- 2Hands-on skill across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and drywall
- 3Prior work as a maintenance technician, carpenter, plumber, or electrician strongly preferred
- 4Strong troubleshooting ability to independently assess and fix most issues in a home
- 5Attention to detail with clean caulk lines and professional patching and painting
- 6Customer-friendly attitude with great listening and communication skills
- 7Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and your own tools
- 8Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
- 9Comfortable working on ladders or scaffolding at heights up to 12 feet
