Overview
Intuit seeks a senior business development leader to own and grow two strategic lending businesses. This role reports to the Director of Business Development and influences the Lending segment over three years. The focus includes managing the Marketplace and launching an embedded lending opportunity.
What You'll Do15
- 1Own the full partnership lifecycle from strategy to scaling while serving as a senior voice shaping the Lending business
- 2Drive Marketplace conversion rates through improved partner coverage and funnel experience
- 3Evaluate and onboard new lender partners across credit tiers and loan types
- 4Negotiate commercial terms that balance customer experience with Intuit revenue
- 5Define and execute go-to-market strategy for embedded lending from market sizing to pilot and scale
- 6Identify and develop anchor distribution partnerships including fintech platforms and payroll providers
- 7Build partnership model with commercial structures and integration requirements
- 8Collaborate with Product Engineering Risk and Legal to shape capabilities for partner distribution
- 9Act as internal champion and thought leader for embedded lending initiatives
- 10Set and influence multi-year partnership strategy for Marketplace and embedded lending
- 11Deliver executive-ready outputs such as one-pagers and board-quality narratives
- 12Lead a growing team setting standards for analytical rigor and stakeholder communication
- 13Represent Lending BD in cross-GBSG forums and quarterly planning processes
- 14Create and mentor junior staff while establishing team culture and operating norms
- 15Operate with urgency across strategic and tactical work balancing competing priorities
Requirements13
- 110+ years in business development strategic partnerships or corporate development within high-growth technology or fintech environments
- 2Proven track record of building 0–1 partnership programs from inception
- 3Experience with embedded finance API-driven distribution or marketplace models
- 4Background in financial services lending preferred with familiarity for platform companies like payments payroll or banking SaaS
- 5Prior experience working alongside platform companies where partnerships drive growth is a plus
- 6Strong leadership and operating skills demonstrating ability to drive full BD operating systems
- 7Executive presence capable of representing Intuit at C-suite and VP levels
- 8Ability to mentor junior team members and build collaborative cross-functional teams
- 9Comfortable with urgency competing priorities and frequent context switching
- 10Strong analytical abilities framing ambiguous opportunities into clear choices with defined tradeoffs
- 11Financial literacy for evaluating deal economics revenue models and unit economics
- 12Excellent written and verbal communication skills for building conviction with senior leaders
- 13Experience with data assets and partner distribution capabilities to identify market opportunities
