What You'll Do13
- 1Assist residents in daily living activities to promote independence
- 2Transport residents to programs and work opportunities
- 3Accompany residents to medical appointments and ensure follow-up
- 4Attend ISP meetings and maintain accurate resident information
- 5Prepare menus and oversee food shopping to encourage resident participation
- 6Check medical prescriptions and assist with medication records
- 7Respond to emergencies following Danielle’s Law and Stephen Komninos’ Law
- 8Collaborate with HCS and licensing agencies during inspections
- 9Participate in staff meetings and orientation sessions
- 10Support holiday and emergency coverage for residents
- 11Oversee shift duties and document in electronic systems
- 12Review communication logs within 24-72 hours
- 13Help complete administrative tasks and address staff concerns
Requirements7
- 1Valid non-probationary driver’s license
- 2Minimum age 18 years
- 3Ability to lift 35 lbs independently and assist with 2-person lifts using a Hoyer lift
- 4Pass background check and obtain clearance from Department of Human Services
- 5Consent to drug testing and Central Registry checks
- 6Relocate to Wyckoff NJ 07481 before start date
- 7Commit to evening shifts, holidays, night shifts, and overtime as needed
