What You'll Do7

  • 1Design high-quality graphics for reports, presentations, infographics, and social media using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • 2Collaborate with planners and engineers to create visuals for public meetings, workshops, and stakeholder presentations, ensuring clarity for diverse audiences.
  • 3Translate complex technical transportation data into easy-to-understand infographics and diagrams.
  • 4Support proposal teams by developing layouts, visual storytelling elements, and compelling graphics that win new business.
  • 5Manage multiple project deadlines simultaneously while maintaining brand consistency across all RK&K and client materials.
  • 6Integrate Section 508 and ADA accessibility standards into every design, from color contrast to document structure.
  • 7Stay current with design trends and tools, experimenting with new techniques to elevate creative output.

Requirements7

  • 13 years of professional graphic design experience, with a bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field.
  • 2Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop with a strong portfolio of layout and branding work.
  • 3Experience creating materials for public outreach, community engagement, or transportation projects is highly preferred.
  • 4Familiarity with GIS or CADD is a plus.
  • 5Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to balance creativity and technical accuracy.
  • 6Understanding of accessibility standards like ADA and Section 508 for public-facing materials.
  • 7Preferred: experience supporting proposals or marketing in a professional services environment; additional design or video tools are a bonus.
