Overview
Strategic Sourcing Leader owns $500M+ spend portfolio across metals commodities and configured systems. This senior individual contributor drives cost productivity, supply resilience, and sustainability while shaping sourcing strategies. Responsible for leading cross-functional teams and direct supplier relationships.
What You'll Do9
- 1Lead commodity strategy across $500M+ spend focusing on cost productivity cash flow quality and supply continuity
- 2Build and lead high-performing team managing safety quality delivery and cost (SQDC)
- 3Drive cost reduction through contract negotiations process changes and best cost country sourcing
- 4Manage full supplier lifecycle including selection qualification development and performance management
- 5Partner cross-functionally with Engineering Product Management EHS Quality and Finance to promote sustainable solutions
- 6Shape sourcing policy and process establishing business policies reporting rigor and procurement improvements
- 7Establish sourcing blueprints and drive product cost-out opportunities
- 8Develop talent raising team capabilities
- 9Travel up to 25%
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor's degree from accredited institution or high school diploma/GED with 10 years experience
- 2Minimum 5 years commercial experience in sourcing supply chain or engineering
- 3Concrete experience in supplier negotiation selection contract execution and T&Cs management
- 4Preferred MBA or equivalent financial experience
- 5Knowledge of metals commodities circularity strategies or sustainability-focused sourcing
- 6Lean methodology training or Six Sigma Green Belt Black Belt
- 7Quantitative data analysis and project management skills
- 8Prior GE leadership program participation such as OMLP FMP or CAS
- 9Commercial experience in sourcing major/minor metals commodities
