Overview

You will own the Tier 2 Supplier Management Program for our global electrical solutions business, ensuring continuity across an extended supply base. This role maps critical commodity networks, drives risk mitigation, and builds supplier capability beyond direct vendors. You will lead cross-functional teams, integrate Tier 2 insights into sourcing strategies, and report directly to executive leadership. This position stands out for its focus on supply chain resilience and data-driven decision making at scale.

What You'll Do9

  • 1Build end-to-end visibility of Tier 2 supplier networks for critical commodities, identifying single points of failure and geographic concentration risks.
  • 2Partner with Tier 1 suppliers to increase transparency and data sharing, leveraging analytics to monitor performance and guide decisions.
  • 3Establish a structured framework for assessing Tier 2 supplier risk across financial, geopolitical, capacity, ESG, and compliance dimensions.
  • 4Lead risk mitigation strategies including dual sourcing, localization, and buffering, monitoring early warning indicators and escalating proactively.
  • 5Drive targeted improvement initiatives for critical Tier 2 suppliers, focusing on quality, delivery, and cost performance.
  • 6Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams to embed Tier 2 considerations into sourcing and NPI.
  • 7Lead cross-functional war rooms during supply disruptions to ensure rapid response and recovery.
  • 8Establish and govern the Tier 2 Supplier Management Program roadmap, defining KPIs and reporting cadence for executive visibility.
  • 9Drive adoption of digital tools and analytics for supplier monitoring, and represent the company in industry forums on resilience.

Requirements7

  • 1Bachelor's degree in business or Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • 28+ years of experience in a large supply chain organization is highly preferred.
  • 3Passion for leading and developing people.
  • 4Experience directly managing complex categories.
  • 5Strong negotiation skills including experience negotiating multi-million dollar contracts.
  • 6Demonstrated ability to think strategically and work comfortably in ambiguity.
  • 7Ability to travel a minimum of 10%.
