Overview
We seek a dependable Geotechnical Engineering Technician to lead field testing and documentation on Denver construction projects. The ideal candidate will perform soil concrete asphalt inspections and ensure compliance with ASTM AASHTO standards while collaborating with engineers and contractors.
What You'll Do7
- 1Perform field testing and inspection of soils concrete asphalt and other construction materials
- 2Conduct density testing concrete sampling slump air content and temperature tests
- 3Document field observations and complete accurate daily reports
- 4Work closely with project managers engineers contractors and clients
- 5Ensure testing procedures comply with ASTM AASHTO and project specifications
- 6Maintain testing equipment and company vehicles
- 7Travel to various construction sites throughout the Denver metro area
Requirements12
- 1ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I certification required
- 2Previous geotechnical engineering or construction materials testing experience preferred
- 3Knowledge of ASTM and AASHTO testing procedures
- 4Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- 5Strong communication and organizational skills
- 6Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- 7Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- 8Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand bend and walk for extended periods
- 9Nuclear Gauge Safety Certification
- 10WAQTC Certifications
- 11ICC Certifications
- 12Additional materials testing certifications are a plus
