What You'll Do8

  • 1Lead task and project-level scoping, execution, and delivery for multiple concurrent dam and levee projects.
  • 2Design and implement geotechnical site characterization programs, including fieldwork and instrumentation.
  • 3Evaluate earthen embankments and related infrastructure using tools like Slope/W, AutoCAD, and ArcGIS.
  • 4Support dam and levee safety risk analyses and risk-informed decision making for complex flood control systems.
  • 5Prepare engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, and technical specifications for client approval.
  • 6Present findings and engage in technical discussions with colleagues, clients, and regulatory stakeholders.
  • 7Develop proposals and contribute to business development through recruiting, mentoring, and team growth.
  • 8Conduct site inspections, drive to project locations, and manage overnight travel as needed.

Requirements8

  • 15+ years (preferred 7+ years) of geotechnical engineering experience, with a focus on dams, levees, or flood control.
  • 2Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 3Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration preferred.
  • 4Hands-on experience with Slope/W, AutoCAD, and ArcGIS for geotechnical modeling and design.
  • 5Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client reports and presentations.
  • 6Proven ability to work within multidisciplinary project teams.
  • 7Valid U.S. driver’s license and satisfactory driving record for business travel.
  • 8Willingness to complete Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug/background checks.
