Overview
The Radar Analog and Power Department seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer with expertise in generators analog electronics power systems and control systems. This onsite role in Boston focuses on design production and product support for electric generators mobile generators and power distribution systems. What You'll Do9
- 1Optimize generator systems through vendor collaboration aligned with system and customer requirements
- 2Provide support for legacy generator systems and address production obsolescence issues
- 3Analyze test and measurement data for voltage current and temperature parameters
- 4Present technical data reviews to leadership and stakeholders
- 5Lead small teams to achieve schedule budget and technical goals
- 6Manage risk discussions and coordinate field and reach‑back troubleshooting
- 7Instrument and collect equipment measurements using electronic test and data acquisition tools
- 8Facilitate technical growth for peers and junior engineers
- 9Travel to multiple Massachusetts and New Hampshire locations as required
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor of Science in STEM with minimum 8 years of relevant experience
- 2Minimum 8 years in power generation power system design power conversion power distribution or control systems
- 3Proficiency in MATLAB Simulink or equivalent modeling tools
- 4Fundamental knowledge of electromagnetic rotating machinery and motor manufacturing processes
- 5Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
- 6Active DoD security clearance with willingness to travel
- 7Hardware development experience in defense environments
- 8Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and produce documentation
- 9Experience interfacing with procurement manufacturing and external suppliers
- 10Familiarity with protective relay systems and fault reporting mechanisms
