You will design and develop RF transmitters, receivers, and exciters for next-generation radar products at Raytheon. Working within the REPA Department, you will own circuit design, simulation, and transition to production. Your work supports the nation's defense and aerospace missions. What You'll Do8

  • 1Design and develop transmitters, receivers, or exciters, optimizing RF circuits from concept to production.
  • 2Perform schematic capture and RF routing for complex boards using Mentor Graphics Xpedition.
  • 3Run electromagnetic simulations with HFSS, ADS, or CST to validate RF performance.
  • 4Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on power, digital, and mechanical integration.
  • 5Translate system specs into hardware requirements and test procedures.
  • 6Support production builds, troubleshooting RF issues and ensuring manufacturability.
  • 7Conduct cascade analysis and frequency planning for signal chains.
  • 8Drive design-for-manufacturability, yield, and cost-constrained solutions.

Requirements8

  • 18+ years in RF/microwave system, subsystem, or component design and test.
  • 2Experience with electromagnetic simulation tools: HFSS, ADS, CST, or Mentor Graphics Xpedition.
  • 3Proficiency with analytical tools like MATLAB.
  • 4Active or ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government security clearance.
  • 5U.S. citizenship required.
  • 6Experience in design from concept through production preferred.
  • 7Background in designing for manufacturability, producibility, and cost constraints.
  • 8Experience in technical and proposal writing and oral presentations preferred.
