Principal Electrical Engineer - Raytheon
Overview
You will lead digital and analog designs for avionics systems, owning circuit card assemblies and units that power and control mechanisms on aerospace platforms. Working within Raytheon's Space & Airborne Power & Digital Department, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers, with emphasis on manufacturing, test, and cost. This role demands 5+ years of experience in analog, digital, and power electronics, plus hands-on troubleshooting of CCA hardware. What You'll Do8
- 1Lead digital and analog designs for avionics CCAs, ensuring manufacturability and testability.
- 2Debug complex electro-mechanical systems in the lab, using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- 3Own component-level design and test reviews with cross-functional teams.
- 4Architect new electronic systems and document subsystem requirements and test plans.
- 5Present design reviews to management, customers, and government stakeholders.
- 6Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing to resolve production issues.
- 7Conduct root-cause failure investigations on fielded hardware.
- 8Support all phases of the hardware lifecycle, from requirements to production.
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's degree in STEM plus 5+ years relevant experience, or advanced degree plus 3+ years.
- 25+ years in analog, digital, and power electronics design, integration, and production support.
- 3Experience with analog/digital subsystems, systems engineering, requirement development, and validation.
- 4Proficiency in schematics and interconnect capture tools for CCA design.
- 5Hands-on experience testing and troubleshooting circuit card assemblies or electro-mechanical systems.
- 6Knowledge of motors, EO/IR sensors, servo drive cards, and configurable logic.
- 7Project leadership experience and ability to influence across organizations.
- 8U.S. citizenship required.
