General Warehouse Associate - Carpet & Ceramic Operations
Overview
You'll manage daily warehouse operations for Dunn's Floor Covering, a DC-based supplier serving new home construction across the Mid-Atlantic. You'll cut carpet and ceramic materials, stage orders, and operate a forklift to keep dispatch running on time. Our team has over 150 years of construction industry experience, and this role sits at the heart of our material preparation workflow. You'll own the accuracy and speed of every shipment that leaves our facility.
What You'll Do8
- 1Cut carpet materials to exact dispatch specifications using precision tools.
- 2Cut ceramic products carefully to prevent breakage and ensure safe shipment.
- 3Stage materials in organized zones to match delivery routes.
- 4Operate a forklift to move and stack inventory safely.
- 5Verify order accuracy against pick lists before dispatch.
- 6Maintain a clean and hazard-free workspace to prevent accidents.
- 7Coordinate with dispatch team to prioritize urgent orders.
- 8Inspect incoming materials for damage and report discrepancies.
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 21+ years of forklift operation experience
- 3Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for long shifts
- 4Order picking experience in a warehouse setting
- 5Strong attention to detail for measurements and cuts
- 6Skills in cutting carpet and ceramic materials
- 7Ability to stage materials accurately for delivery
