Garden Center Associate, Plant Care & Retail Customer Service
Overview
Own the customer journey on weekends at a busy garden center. You will help shoppers select plants and supplies, maintain inviting displays, and support smooth store operations at scale. Work with the team to deliver knowledgeable recommendations and a welcoming environment. This role offers hands-on gardening focus, POS duties, and occasional landscape design tasks to broaden product offerings.
What You'll Do8

- 2Assist customers in selecting plants, gardening supplies, and landscaping materials to drive sales
- 3Operate the POS system and handle cash transactions accurately
- 4Provide expert advice on lawn care, plant care, and landscape maintenance to customers
- 5Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive shopping experience and smooth store operations
- 6Support landscape design tasks to enhance product offerings
- 7Maintain cleanliness and organization of the garden center with strong merchandising
- 8Answer customer inquiries with effective communication and product recommendations
Requirements7
- 1Background in gardening, horticulture, and floral design
- 2Familiarity with retail sales practices, including cashiering and cash handling
- 3Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building relationships
- 4Ability to perform retail math for accurate transactions and inventory management
- 5Strong organizational and communication skills
- 6Onsite availability for weekend shifts
- 7Pay: From $16.00 per hour and opportunities for advancement
