What You'll Do10
- 1Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations to meet production goals
- 2Plan hourly employee schedules to optimize daily operations and reduce costs
- 3Coach and develop staff on safety rules and processes and conduct new hire evaluations
- 4Direct a team to consistently meet or exceed productivity goals and improve load average
- 5Enforce FMCSR OSHA DOT and company policies and drive compliance across shifts
- 6Minimize shipment rehandle by prioritizing direct loading and sector loading while upholding quality standards
- 7Participate in safety and engagement committees and communicate policy changes to the team
- 8Inspect tools and equipment for safe operation and address unsafe conditions
- 9Provide actionable recommendations to improve operational performance
- 10Maintain organization and clear communication during daily staff meetings
Requirements5
- 12 years of related work experience in warehouse distribution transportation or similar environment
- 2Knowledge of the Less than Truckload LTL industry and DOT regulations
- 3Available to work a variety of shifts including days evenings nights and weekends
- 4Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Distribution or Logistics or 4 years of related work or military experience
- 52 years of supervisory experience
