What You'll Do7
- 1Build and supervise daily dock operations for sorting, handling, loading, and unloading freight
- 2Direct and evaluate dockworkers to ensure proper equipment use and adherence to procedures
- 3Conduct daily inspections for DOT compliance and other regulatory requirements
- 4Train and coach dockworkers on safety, performance, customer service, and equipment usage
- 5Review operational reports and recommend improvements to terminal efficiency and service
- 6Promote and enforce a safe, clean, organized dock environment
- 7Coordinate with leadership and teams to align with policy and regulatory standards
Requirements6
- 1High school diploma or GED
- 2Authorized to work in the United States
- 3Read write and communicate in English to perform shipping tasks
- 4Strong knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations and safety procedures
- 5Forklift certification or hazmat training
- 6Healthy physical condition to lift up to 100 pounds and perform duties involving bending, climbing, and operating equipment
