FPGA Verification Engineer BAE Systems
Overview
Lead FPGA verification efforts for defense electronic products. Own verification of electronic products across complex high precision high reliability applications. Support Tactical Solutions Strategic Business Unit delivering mission system solutions enhancing performance of military platforms.
What You'll Do9
- 1Apply innovative design techniques to create defense oriented cutting edge electronic systems
- 2Work in fast paced team environment on R&D proof of concept and production programs
- 3Verify FPGA designs including SOC architectures utilizing soft core processors digital filters image processing algorithms and communication interfaces protocols
- 4Design and implement test benches for unit level and system level environments creating reusable verification environments
- 5Develop System Verilog UVM test benches tests components and regressions
- 6Generate and execute FPGA Verification Test Plan and FPGA Verification Matrix
- 7Collaborate with system architects FPGA design engineers and embedded software engineers
- 8Maintain regular work schedule and establish effective working relationships across departments and units
- 9Perform other duties as necessary
Requirements15
- 1BS degree or higher in Engineering plus 2 years related experience
- 2Master's Degree or PhD substituting for two years experience
- 3Solid FPGA/ASIC Verification development methodology
- 4Experience with System Verilog and UVM and familiarity with electronic circuit design
- 5Understanding of object oriented concepts and class based constrained random test benches
- 6Coverage writing skills including coverpoints crosses collection and improvement
- 7Good communication and presentation abilities
- 8Security clearance or access with Polygraph not required
- 9Experience with Modelsim/Questa simulator
- 10Experience in C++ object oriented programming
- 11Knowledge of Windows Linux and scripting languages such as Ruby Python TCL
- 12Ability to develop specifications cost schedule and resource requirements for verification plans
- 13Familiarity with signal processing algorithms and DSP techniques
- 14Experience with cybersecurity topics/techniques
- 15Space or military experience

$79 - $135k per year
