Forward Deployed Site Reliability Engineer - US Government
Overview
Palantir seeks a Forward Deployed Site Reliability Engineer to build and maintain high performance scalable reliable services for US Government on-prem production infrastructure. This role involves traveling to various locations where you become the expert for Palantir’s infrastructure supporting partner teams. The position emphasizes autonomy collaboration and ownership of operations.
What You'll Do7
- 1Maintain availability of physical Linux servers that power the Palantir platform in air-gapped production environments
- 2Design deploy and operate infrastructure to support customer and product requirements via modern orchestration and monitoring platforms
- 3Collaborate closely with product teams on requirements and SLOs for deploying software into air-gapped environments
- 4Identify troubleshoot and solve network and systems issues
- 5Script automation to remove routine operational tasks
- 6Provide technical troubleshooting support for production issues ensuring minimal impact on operations
- 7Participate in an on-call schedule
Requirements7
- 1Available for 50 percent travel domestic and international
- 2Four years of experience with Linux system administration RHEL or equivalent preferred
- 3Experience with hardware environments including setup configuration and management of physical servers and networking equipment
- 4Familiarity with monitoring systems using Prometheus and writing health checks
- 5Proficiency with at least one programming or scripting language such as Java Go Python JavaScript Bash or similar
- 6Strong engineering background preferred in fields such as Computer Science Mathematics Software Engineering Physics and Data Science
- 7Active US security clearance at or above the top secret level
