Own on-site food service operations as a Food Unit Lead for a K-12 program in Detroit area scale. Lead a team, ensure quality service and safe, compliant meal preparation. What You'll Do9
- 1Lead a team of food-service staff and coordinate daily workflow to ensure smooth service
- 2Oversee food preparation and service in accordance with presentation, sanitation, safety and portion control standards
- 3Assist with menu planning and ensure timely, efficient meal service while supervising meal distribution
- 4Train employees and assign work to optimize efficiency and excellence in food and service
- 5Manage daily/weekly/monthly reporting including inventory, payroll, and timekeeping
- 6Ensure proper cash handling per Food Accounting Manual and manage deposits and petty cash
- 7Order food and supplies from approved sources and manage vendor relationships
- 8Oversee sanitation and safety programs and ensure adherence to sanitation schedules
- 9Support staff onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training

- 2Onsite location in Hazel Park, MI
- 3Full-time schedule with variable days 6:30 am to 2:30 pm
- 4Pay range $16.25 to $18.00 per hour
