FM 311 Customer Service Center Liaison
Overview
Serve as the primary contact for the FM 311 Customer Service Center, fielding inbound calls, emails, and chats from a commutable distance of campus. You will oversee work order intake and resolution on the Facilities Operations team, ensuring each request is logged accurately and routed to the right teams. With 40-hour weeks and a set Tuesday-Saturday schedule, you will work remotely while staying connected to campus operations. This role offers a direct path into facilities management within a major university system.
What You'll Do8
- 1Answer incoming calls, emails, and chats, logging each request into the FM 311 system with precise detail.
- 2Create and close work orders, assigning them to the appropriate Facilities teams based on priority and type.
- 3Maintain spreadsheets and information logs that track work progress, service levels, and recurring issues.
- 4Resolve customer issues by applying Facilities Operations policies, escalating only when necessary.
- 5Build rapport with students, faculty, staff, and vendors to ensure clear communication and follow-through.
- 6Stay current on FM 311 program updates, procedures, and campus facilities knowledge.
- 7Coordinate with supervisors and other departments to align responses with the university's mission.
- 8Keep detailed records of interactions, decisions, and escalations for future reference and audit.
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 21+ years of administrative support experience, preferably in a customer service or facilities setting.
- 3Computer literacy in Google Chrome and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- 4Strong verbal and written communication skills, including English comprehension.
- 5Ability to multitask, stay calm, and work effectively in high-stress situations.
- 6Valid driver's license and willingness to operate university vehicles if needed.
- 7Capability to perform physical and mental job functions with or without accommodations.
