Floor Technician, LTC Experience Required
Overview
Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for residents and staff at a 50-year-old skilled nursing facility. Own the upkeep of the building and grounds, including floors, walkways, and entrances, with a focus on resident safety and comfort. Work within a collaborative Facilities Department, reporting to the Facilities Manager, and support a 24/7/365 operation. What You'll Do9
- 1Maintain building and grounds by sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, vacuuming, waxing, and buffing floors to meet facility standards.
- 2Remove refuse and keep all walkways and entranceways clear and safe during weather emergencies.
- 3Respond to resident emergencies promptly, ensuring a safe environment.
- 4Participate in on-call rotation and be available to reach the facility within 30 minutes.
- 5Provide snow removal and handle inclement weather-related issues as needed.
- 6Partner with the Facilities Manager to execute preventive maintenance schedules and tasks.
- 7Deliver high-quality service to residents and families in all interactions.
- 8Track and maintain inventory of all tools and supplies, ensuring readiness.
- 9Support the 24/7/365 property operation by covering shifts as needed.
Requirements9
- 11+ years of floor technician or maintenance experience, preferably in a long-term care or healthcare setting.
- 2Valid Driver's License.
- 3Proficiency in speaking and reading English.
- 4Good judgment and respect for resident privacy.
- 5Excellent attention to detail.
- 6Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- 7Capability to follow directions and procedural guidelines accurately and promptly.
- 8Physical ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand for long periods, and lift/push/pull 50-100 lbs.
- 9Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (including a valid booster) and provide proof before hire.
