Float Teacher, Early Childhood Education
Overview
As a Float Teacher at Lakeshore Learning Center, you will support multiple classrooms, covering breaks and maintaining a safe, engaging space for early learners. You will work alongside a dedicated team, stepping into different rooms to ensure seamless daily operations. This role offers hands-on experience in early childhood education and requires mandatory certifications to ensure child safety. What You'll Do8
- 1Cover 10-minute breaks in different classrooms, ensuring continuous supervision.
- 2Provide lunch breaks for staff, maintaining classroom ratios and safety.
- 3Relieve staff at end of shifts, facilitating smooth transitions.
- 4Assist with curriculum implementation, engaging children in learning activities.
- 5Keep classrooms clean, organized, and prepared per lead teacher requests.
- 6Interact positively with children, fostering a fun and supportive atmosphere.
- 7Follow all health and safety protocols, including CPR and Food Handler guidelines.
- 8Collaborate with lead teachers to adapt activities for diverse needs.
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
- 2TB Test clearance (Required).
- 3CPR Certification (Required).
- 4MERIT Background Check clearance (Required).
- 5Food Handler Certification (Required).
- 6Safe Sleep Certificate (Required).
- 7Prior child care experience preferred, but not required.
- 8Ability to work onsite in Portland, Oregon.
