Fleet Mechanic, Diesel Trucks & Electrical Systems
Overview
Own the maintenance and repair of diesel and gas trucks across Minnesota, ensuring safety and reliability for traffic control operations. You’ll diagnose and fix electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues, perform preventative maintenance, and complete DOT compliance checks at scale. What You'll Do10
- 1Build and diagnose diesel and gas truck systems to minimize downtime
- 2Repair electrical and hydraulic components to restore full function
- 3Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on fleet assets
- 4Complete DOT compliance checks to meet safety and regulatory standards
- 5Occasionally weld and fabricate parts as needed
- 6Conduct field service when required to support job sites
- 7Maintain accurate maintenance records and service logs
- 8Collaborate with team to prioritize critical repairs and safety
- 9Support fleet health initiatives and contribute to process improvements
- 10Handle overtime shifts to meet operational demands
Requirements10
- 1Previous fleet mechanic experience with diesel preferred
- 2Strong troubleshooting skills
- 3Valid driver’s license with clean record
- 4Ability to obtain FEDMED card
- 5CDL preferred or willingness to obtain
- 6Able to lift 50 lbs and work overtime as needed
- 7Willingness to work overtime and travel within Minnesota
- 8Experience with electrical and hydraulic systems
- 9Experience with preventative maintenance and inspections
- 10Comfort working mostly in shop with some field service
