Fire Suppression Service Technician, Fire Protection & Safety
Overview
The Fire Suppression Service Technician will own inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire suppression systems across client facilities. You will ensure reliability, functionality, and compliance with NFPA standards and manufacturer specifications. The role supports CO2 and clean agent systems and collaborates with clients, service coordinators, and deficiency sellers to deliver safe, compliant solutions.
What You'll Do10
- 1Inspect and test fire suppression systems including CO2 and clean agent systems to NFPA standards
- 2Perform routine maintenance on cylinders, nozzles, release mechanisms, and control panels
- 3Identify and troubleshoot leaks, pressure issues, or faulty components and implement corrective actions
- 4Repair or replace components to maintain NFPA compliance and system functionality
- 5Coordinate with clients to schedule visits and communicate upgrade recommendations based on NFPA requirements
- 6Inspect gas cylinders including hydrostatic testing and reinstallation
- 7Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies to restore system operation
- 8Document all service activities in the Service Trade platform with accuracy
- 9Prepare repair estimates with Deficiency Sellers and discuss findings with clients
- 10Optimize work orders and material requisitions with Service Coordinators for efficiency and customer satisfaction
Requirements10
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2State licensing preferred or ability to acquire
- 3Valid driver’s license with clean record and willingness to travel
- 4Solid understanding of NFPA codes and relevant building and fire codes
- 5Proficiency with hand and power tools and pipe threading equipment
- 6Excellent communication and customer service skills
- 7Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment
- 8Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- 9Comfortable working in industrial facilities, commercial buildings, and outdoor environments
- 10Commitment to safety guidelines and procedures
