What You'll Do7
- 1Build and install finish carpentry including millwork, trim, casing, baseboards, doors, and windows to exacting standards
- 2Design and verify layout and structural requirements before cutting wall framing, joists, and roof structures
- 3Decode architectural blueprints and construction documents translating design intent into precise field work
- 4Install structural blocking for cabinetry, railings, and hardware ensuring seamless installation
- 5Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites protecting finished work
- 6Communicate proactively with project leaders about field conflicts, material delays, or structural variations
- 7Mentor carpenters apprentices on site upholding craftsmanship and safety standards
Requirements6
- 13 to 7 years of hands-on experience in high-end residential rough and finish carpentry
- 2Proficiency with standard hand and power tools and ability to maintain clean jobsites
- 3Ability to read architectural blueprints, structural plans, and design drawings
- 4Strong measuring skills and solid understanding of construction geometry and math
- 5Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to jobsites across Chicago
- 6physical capacity to lift up to 75 lbs and work safely across diverse jobsite conditions
