Lead independent finish carpentry projects focusing on precision craftsmanship and high-end residential staircases. Manage construction of staircases trim installation and door hanging while ensuring accuracy and safety.
What You'll Do11
- 1Measure layout and construct staircases treads risers and curved railings
- 2Install crown molding baseboards wainscoting and door casings
- 3Hang high-end interior and exterior doors including pocket doors with custom hardware
- 4Interpret architectural blueprints to calculate material needs
- 5Verify accuracy ensuring finished work is level square and plumb
- 6Maintain safety operating hand tools and shop machinery safely
- 7Communicate and lead effectively on job sites
- 8Match wood grain for flawless finishes
- 9Operate miter saws routers and table saws with master-level proficiency
- 10Demonstrate sharp attention to detail for wood grain matching
- 11Ensure compliance with safety regulations on site
Requirements6
- 1Minimum 4–5 years experience in high-end finish carpentry
- 2Knowledge of stair geometry including rise and run calculations
- 3Legally authorized to work in the US
- 4Proven hand tool proficiency and router table saw operation
- 5Excellent communication and leadership skills
- 6Commitment to safety compliance on site
