Field Service Engineer, Semiconductor Equipment & On-site Support
Overview
Own on-site repair, maintenance, and installation for Lam's complex semiconductor systems at customer sites. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver operational excellence and high customer satisfaction. This role blends hands-on engineering with field problem-solving to minimize downtime and drive equipment performance.
What You'll Do5
- 1Build on-site repair, maintenance, and installation services for Lam's electro-mechanical systems at customer sites.
- 2Diagnose issues to the component level and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime
- 3Provide technical instruction and mentoring to junior engineers
- 4Assist in field modifications and updates while maintaining records and coordinating activities between Lam and customers
- 5Troubleshoot customer needs and create action plans to ensure timely resolution
Requirements6
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of experience or Master’s with 3+ years
- 2Experience with installation, maintenance, repair, or troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment
- 3Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and operation manuals
- 4Capable of working in a clean room environment and wearing PPE
- 5Willingness to travel domestically and internationally and work varied shifts including overtime and on-call
- 6Proficiency with basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
