Overview

The Field Service Engineer owns on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of sterilization equipment for hospitals within a regional territory. You will deliver reliable performance of critical systems, solving complex technical issues and ensuring patient safety. What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and install ASP sterilization systems within territory ensuring compliant documentation and high uptime
  • 2Perform preventive maintenance and document equipment performance to support reliability metrics
  • 3Respond to emergency service requests and troubleshoot to determine root cause and corrective action
  • 4Schedule, coordinate, and execute service activities with customers, scheduling personnel, and leadership
  • 5Lead on-site service events, advise on equipment changes to improve efficiency and reduce operation cost
  • 6Manage service part inventory and RMA processes to support usage of critical components
  • 7Document service activity in Siebel and maintain up-to-date records for audits and compliance
  • 8Provide guidance to hospital biomedical engineers and field technicians to ensure customer satisfaction
  • 9Beta site support and installation activities for new equipment and software
  • 10Support a rotating on-call schedule including weekends to ensure total equipment availability

Requirements9

  • 1High School diploma with 3 years in customer support or technical support or Associates degree with 3 years related work experience
  • 2Minimum of two years customer service experience
  • 3Two year degree in electronics, technology, computer science, electrical engineering or related field preferred
  • 4Four years of work experience in a related field (Medical Device) or three years in field service in electronics or medical device industry
  • 5Experience in field service environment and knowledge of inventory management practices
  • 6Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills
  • 7Proficiency with Word, Excel, Access and service management systems
  • 8Ability to lift 80 lbs and perform physical activities including bending, standing, and travel
  • 9Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regionally
