Field Systems Engineer BioMerieux
Overview
Field Systems Engineer responsible for delivering best-in-class customer experience through service needs across geographic territories. This self-starter works remotely and travels overnight on short notice.
What You'll Do11
- 1Respond promptly to customer needs and perform installations maintenance upgrades repairs using electronic and computer skills
- 2Build trust with customers promote service agreements and identify sales opportunities
- 3Foster teamwork across service and support teams while driving field service revenue
- 4Attend 6–9 weeks of product training at Durham NC or St Louis MO offices within first year
- 5Participate in weekend holiday on-call rotation every five weeks with local phone availability
- 6Maintain up-to-date calendar of availability and submit travel expense reports regularly
- 7Follow company policies regarding fleet vehicle use and asset inventory management
- 8Continuously improve technical and interpersonal skills meet annual priorities
- 9Support trade shows and provide feedback to sales marketing and customer service
- 10Represent bioMerieux professionally and assist with logistics
- 11Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor degree in Engineering Electronic Technology Computer Science Biomedical or related discipline
- 22+ years of professional related experience in troubleshooting and/or repair of complex electro-mechanical electronic computer electrical systems
- 3Valid driver’s license in state of residence
- 4Experience in troubleshooting and/or repair of biomedical vacuum systems host remote communications and network systems preferred
- 5Experience operating independently managing schedules customer expectations and communications without direct oversight
- 6Experience in field service role preferred
- 7Knowledge of laboratory operations principles and practices preferred
- 8Education substitution: 6+ years relevant experience defined above
- 9Must maintain physical ability to climb stairs operate heavy machinery lift move up to 50 lbs
