Field Based RN Home Infusion Nurse Per Diem Boston
Overview
Join BILH Pharmacy Services as a Field Based RN to create patient care plans for home infusion services. You will direct medication administration in home settings while collaborating with Home Infusion staff. What You'll Do11
- 1Practice in accordance with state and federal regulations including Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing and FDA standards
- 2Assess patient needs through physical evaluation and chart review to determine eligibility for home infusion therapies
- 3Provide comprehensive education to patients and caregivers on proper medication administration techniques
- 4Coordinate discharge activities and administer or supervise medication delivery including IV site care and phlebotomy
- 5Maintain accurate medication and diagnosis records for patient safety
- 6Develop individualized care plans and document patient progress toward therapeutic goals
- 7Train and mentor pharmacy staff on clinical protocols
- 8Participate in quality control and continuous improvement initiatives
- 9Participate in clinical on-call rotations for after-hours patient support
- 10Advocate for patient needs through effective communication with prescribers and clinicians
- 11Manage patient census and adjust schedules to accommodate urgent medical requirements
Requirements11
- 1Current licensure from the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing
- 2Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
- 32 years of infusion-related nursing experience
- 4Active BLS certification
- 5Current ACLS certification
- 6Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays
- 7CRNI certification preferred
- 8Strong decision-making abilities with independent action capabilities
- 9Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- 10Ability to work in a fast paced environment with adaptability
- 11Physical stamina to stand and walk throughout shift with occasional lifting of 10 lbs
