What You'll Do10

  • 1Build patient intake flow and assist during examinations and procedures to maintain efficient clinical operations
  • 2Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens following established protocols to support testing and care
  • 3Document ultrasound findings, physician observations, and treatment information in electronic medical records
  • 4Serve as chaperone during ultrasound appointments when needed and educate patients about upcoming procedures
  • 5Collect, label, process, and prepare laboratory specimens for internal and external testing
  • 6Communicate laboratory results and documentation to providers for review
  • 7Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and treatment areas following infection-control standards
  • 8Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment of clinical supplies
  • 9Educate patients about upcoming appointments and procedures while providing reassurance and support
  • 10Adhere to clinic policies, patient confidentiality standards, and safety procedures

Requirements5

  • 1Completion of a recognized Phlebotomy Training Program
  • 2Current Washington State Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist (MA-P) certification
  • 3At least 6 months of experience in a medical practice, clinic, or healthcare setting
  • 4Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • 5Ability to work occasional weekends, holidays, and schedule adjustments as needed
