You will support a high-volume OBGYN practice at Mount Auburn Hospital by rooming patients, performing phlebotomy, and preparing for procedures. This role blends clinical and front-desk duties in a team of 6-7 providers, serving diverse obstetric and gynecologic needs. You will manage lab specimens, document care in the EHR, and maintain efficient patient flow. Success means adapting quickly, communicating clearly, and delivering compassionate care in a busy environment.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Room patients for obstetric and gynecologic visits, documenting vital signs, height, and weight.
  • 2Perform phlebotomy and manage lab specimens accurately, ensuring proper labeling and handling.
  • 3Prepare rooms and supplies for routine OBGYN procedures and assist providers during exams.
  • 4Review and update medication and allergy lists, and complete required patient screening questions.
  • 5Communicate abnormal vital signs and patient concerns to providers promptly.
  • 6Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked exam rooms, following OSHA and infection prevention standards.
  • 7Document all tasks accurately in the EHR (e.g., Epic).
  • 8Assist with patient check-in and check-out, covering the front desk as needed.
  • 9Help manage patient flow and communicate delays to keep the practice running smoothly.
  • 10Adhere to patient safety, confidentiality, and OSHA requirements at all times.

Requirements10

  • 1High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Health Science preferred.
  • 20-1 years related work experience required.
  • 3Medical Assistant Certificate, CNA, EMT-Basic, or Phlebotomy Certificate preferred.
  • 4Basic computer skills and ability to navigate web-based applications.
  • 5Demonstrated Medical Assistant competencies within one year of hire.
  • 6Comfortable performing phlebotomy and handling lab specimens.
  • 7Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, high-volume practice.
  • 8Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • 9Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
