Medical Assistant, Family Care Clinic
Overview
You will own the full patient care cycle at a busy Family Care clinic, handling 45+ patients daily. You will support 3 providers, manage vitals, EKGs, and lab draws, and coordinate scheduling and records. Your work directly shapes patient outcomes and clinic flow. This role pairs clinical skills with hands-on administrative ownership in a team-based environment.
What You'll Do8
- 1Greet patients and update medical records in the EHR system
- 2Take vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration
- 3Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries
- 4Administer medications and immunizations per provider orders
- 5Perform phlebotomy draws and prepare lab specimens for send-out
- 6Run point-of-care tests (glucose, strep, urine) and document results
- 7Prepare exam rooms, stock supplies, and sanitize between patients
- 8Schedule follow-up appointments and manage patient referrals
Requirements6
- 11+ years of Medical Assistant experience in a clinic or hospital setting
- 2Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential
- 3Hands-on phlebotomy and EKGs experience
- 4Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and medical terminology
- 5Current CPR/BLS certification
- 6Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for 8-hour shifts
