Family Therapist, Behavioral Health & Family Systems in Residential Treatment
Overview
Own and deliver family therapy within a residential treatment setting serving adolescents and families at Horizon Recovery. You will lead individual and conjoint sessions, provide parent education, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure treatment goals translate to discharge. You will maintain compliant clinical documentation and uphold trauma-informed, ethically grounded standards of care. This role blends clinical practice with program collaboration and discharge planning to sustain family engagement.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and facilitate family therapy sessions with adolescents and their families within RTC
- 2Collaborate with parents, guardians, and multidisciplinary team to develop individualized plans
- 3Document timely and accurate EMR notes supporting treatment planning and discharge
- 4Lead parent education and support groups to strengthen family functioning
- 5Partner with Clinical Director and care teams to ensure integrated care across domains
- 6Assist with discharge and transition planning to lower levels of care
- 7Respond promptly to urgent concerns and communicate safety risks to leadership
- 8Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2
- 9Model trauma-informed engagement and professional standards
- 10Contribute to a positive clinical team culture and policy compliance
Requirements10
- 1Master's degree or higher in a behavioral health field
- 2Arizona clinical license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) or associate-level license (LAC, LMSW, LAMFT) in good standing
- 3Valid Arizona Level 1 IVP fingerprint clearance card or ability to obtain
- 4Valid driver`s license and insurable driving record
- 5Ability to pass criminal background check, drug screen, and TB screening
- 621 years of age or older
- 7CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- 8Minimum one year of behavioral health experience preferred
- 9Experience working with adolescents and families in a clinical setting preferred
- 10Ability to manage multiple active caseloads and maintain timely documentation
