What You'll Do7
- 1Deliver primary care services to patients across multiple Harris Health System affiliate facilities, managing acute and chronic conditions.
- 2Supervise and teach medical students, residents, and fellows during clinical rotations, integrating education with patient care.
- 3Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care for underserved populations, including referrals and follow-up.
- 4Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic health record, meeting quality and compliance standards.
- 5Participate in departmental education activities, including case conferences, morning reports, and didactic sessions.
- 6Collaborate with clinic staff to optimize patient flow and access to care, addressing social determinants of health.
- 7Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes and patient experience.
Requirements7
- 1M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
- 2Completion of residency training in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- 3Current license from the Texas Medical Board to practice medicine in Texas.
- 4Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (within 4 years of residency graduation).
- 5No prior practice experience required; new graduates welcome.
- 6Commitment to caring for diverse and underserved populations.
- 7Eligibility for faculty appointment at Baylor College of Medicine.
