Dermatologist Assistant Professor, General Dermatology
Overview
Baylor College of Medicine seeks a full-time Assistant Professor in Dermatology to deliver complex general dermatology care in Houston, TX. What You'll Do6
- 1Build a robust outpatient dermatology practice handling complex and general cases at Baylor Medicine clinics
- 2Own inpatient consults at affiliate hospitals, delivering timely dermatologic assessments and treatments
- 3Manage after-hours on-call coverage, ensuring continuity of care for urgent dermatology patients
- 4Serve as Associate Program Director for the Dermatology Residency Program, shaping curriculum and mentoring residents
- 5Contribute to trainee education through bedside teaching, didactic sessions, and clinical supervision
- 6Participate in departmental meetings and conferences to align clinical practices and share insights
Requirements5
- 1MD degree and active Texas medical license
- 2Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- 32+ years of experience in dermatology, preferred
- 4Eligibility for academic appointment at Baylor College of Medicine
- 5Commitment to patient-centered care and interdisciplinary collaboration
