Family Law Paralegal / Case Manager, $110K-$115K
Overview
You will own a caseload of 120+ active family law matters for four attorneys at a respected Acton, MA firm. You will drive every case forward, from drafting and redlining documents to preparing attorneys for hearings. Onsite 4 days per week, remote 1 day, this role demands a proactive, client-focused professional. You will rely on MyCase daily to manage calendars, filings, and client communication, and your expertise with 401 and 410 financial disclosure forms will be central to the position.
What You'll Do9
- 1Manage a 120+ case family law caseload for four attorneys, ensuring accuracy, organization, and timely follow-through.
- 2Draft, revise, and redline legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence using MyCase and other tools.
- 3Prepare attorneys for hearings, conferences, and court appearances, organizing all necessary materials.
- 4File pleadings and court documents electronically through the state e-filing system.
- 5Maintain case calendars and proactively manage attorney schedules two weeks in advance to align with deadlines.
- 6Prepare, review, and manage 401 and 410 financial disclosure forms for discovery and trial.
- 7Serve as primary client contact, delivering white-glove service and coordinating in-office meetings.
- 8Track case progress, deadlines, and outstanding action items, identifying workflow improvements to boost efficiency.
- 9Keep electronic and physical case files organized, ensuring every deadline and client need is met.
Requirements10
- 16+ years of progressive family law paralegal experience.
- 2Bachelor's degree required; paralegal certificate preferred.
- 3Experience managing a large, active caseload of 100+ matters.
- 4Strong knowledge of family law procedures, court processes, and legal documentation.
- 5Hands-on experience with 401 and 410 financial disclosure forms.
- 6Proficiency with MyCase strongly preferred.
- 7Experience drafting and redlining legal documents and correspondence.
- 8Understanding of electronic court filing procedures.
- 9Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 10Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple attorneys and deadlines.
