Senior Paralegal Family Law
Overview
We seek a Senior Paralegal leading a Family Law Paralegal team. This leadership role oversees workflow and case management while supporting clients through critical legal matters. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience and offers competitive compensation up to $75,000 annually.
What You'll Do11
- 1Serve as primary client contact via phone email and in-person
- 2Draft proofread and finalize legal documents including pleadings and discovery responses
- 3Support attorneys with trial preparation filing and scheduling
- 4Manage case timelines tracking all deadlines
- 5Coordinate case logistics using internal workflow management systems
- 6File documents electronically with Maryland and federal courts
- 7Organize and maintain case files assisting with billing and administrative tasks
- 8Draft correspondence and legal memoranda as directed
- 9Lead paralegal team members and manage workflow
- 10Drive process improvements within the legal department
- 11Ensure compliance with court procedures and filing protocols
Requirements10
- 1Minimum 10 years experience as a paralegal preferably with family law in Maryland
- 2Proficiency with MDEC electronic filing system
- 3Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 4Excellent organization and attention to detail
- 5Ability to thrive in collaborative fast-paced environment
- 6Professionalism discretion and client service focus
- 7Bilingual Spanish English preference
- 8Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required with Paralegal certificate preferred
- 9Familiarity with Microsoft Office and legal tech platforms
- 10Knowledge of local Maryland court procedures
