You will facilitate therapeutic group sessions for adults in substance use disorder treatment, supporting recovery, emotional wellness, and personal growth at Personalized Nursing Light House, a behavioral healthcare provider with 35+ years of experience. The role operates across Southeast Michigan, based at Plymouth with travel to other locations as needed. You will work evenings (3pm-11pm full-time or 5pm-10:30pm part-time) in a structured, trauma-informed environment. What You'll Do8

  • 1Facilitate therapeutic group sessions in a safe, respectful, and structured environment using evidence-based practices.
  • 2Assess client needs and participation levels, adjusting group content as clinically appropriate.
  • 3Encourage engagement, manage group dynamics, and promote healthy interpersonal interactions.
  • 4Develop and implement group topics, therapeutic activities, and psychoeducational content aligned with treatment goals.
  • 5Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation of group services and client progress.
  • 6Collaborate with the treatment team to support continuity of care and client progress.
  • 7Support a culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented treatment environment.
  • 8Travel between PNLH locations and provide coverage as needed.

Requirements10

  • 1Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field required.
  • 2Master's level licensure required if applicable to the position.
  • 3CADC, CADC-DP, CADDC, or MCBAP Development Plan required.
  • 4Strong communication, interpersonal, and group facilitation skills.
  • 5Basic computer skills and willingness to learn internal systems.
  • 6Reliable transportation and ability to travel between locations.
  • 7Master's degree preferred in a related field.
  • 8Two years of experience in substance use disorder counseling preferred.
  • 9Experience facilitating group therapy in behavioral health or SUD setting preferred.
  • 10Training or experience in trauma-informed care preferred.
