Overview

You will run evening group counseling sessions for adult clients in the criminal justice system at Sage Counseling in Phoenix. You will own a caseload of up to 20 clients per group, delivering MRT-based curriculum. Work Monday through Thursday from 5 PM to 10 PM, with every other Wednesday staff meetings. This role offers clinical supervision toward licensure and annual merit-based raises.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Facilitate MRT group sessions for up to 20 adult clients, following evidence-based curriculum.
  • 2Deliver group counseling covering topics like criminal thinking, victim impact, and relapse prevention.
  • 3Document each client's progress in the EMR within 24 hours of service.
  • 4Coordinate with the clinical team on client treatment plans and discharge planning.
  • 5Lead group discussions that promote accountability and behavioral change.
  • 6Track attendance and participation metrics for each group session.
  • 7Adapt facilitation style to address diverse client needs, including those with trauma or cognitive deficits.
  • 8Collaborate with probation officers and court personnel on client compliance reports.

Requirements8

  • 1Master's degree in behavioral health, counseling, social work, or related field.
  • 2MRT certification or willingness to obtain within 3 months of hire.
  • 31+ years experience facilitating group therapy in a clinical setting.
  • 4Experience working with adult offenders or sexual offenders preferred.
  • 5Bilingual Spanish preferred.
  • 6Active behavioral health licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.) preferred.
  • 7Available to work evenings Monday-Thursday, 5-10 PM, and every other Wednesday 4-5 PM.
  • 8Clean background check and ability to work with criminal justice population.
