Group Facilitator, Substance Abuse & Addiction Counseling
Overview
You will run psychoeducational groups at Full Of Life Recovery Center, an onsite outpatient program in Philadelphia. You coordinate with the clinical team to deliver group therapy and document in the EMR. This per diem role suits a registered intern or CADC ready to support clients through chemical dependency and dual diagnosis. You gain direct addiction medicine experience with room for advancement.
What You'll Do8
- 1Facilitate process, educational, and chemical dependency groups as assigned
- 2Document group sessions and client progress in the electronic medical record
- 3Assess client treatment needs using knowledge of addiction and chemical dependency
- 4Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support client recovery
- 5Respond to trauma-related issues and dual diagnosis concerns per protocol
- 6Obtain informed consent for procedures and treatments as appropriate
- 7Manage emergency situations with decisiveness and professionalism
- 8Report any abuse of client rights immediately
Requirements6
- 11+ year experience in a substance abuse environment
- 2Hold a registered intern, CADC, CADC-Intern, or relevant license
- 3Demonstrate knowledge of chemical dependency and addictions
- 4Show ability to work as a team member under stress with objectivity
- 5Exhibit good communication skills and professional conduct
- 6Perform duties with maturity and positive role modeling
