Own the client experience at Waxing The City, delivering waxing, tinting, brow lamination, lash lift, and skin specialty treatments that turn first-timers into loyal regulars. You will join a locally owned studio in Minneapolis where leadership stays on the floor and invests in your growth. We train you in our signature Cerologist technique, blending hard and soft wax with skin mapping for results that keep clients booked. This role rewards performance with tiered commissions, tips, and clear advancement paths, all while you work in a clean, warm, and non-judgmental space.
What You'll Do8
- 1Master our Cerologist technique and skin mapping to deliver signature hard wax and soft wax services in your first 30 days.
- 2Perform waxing, tinting, brow lamination, lash lift, and skin specialty treatments that meet our industry-best standards from day one.
- 3Educate every client on pre/post care routines that extend results and build repeat visits, starting with your first appointment.
- 4Maintain a clean, safe, and professional treatment room, restocking supplies and sanitizing tools between each client.
- 5Partner with the front desk to support client acquisition and retention by upselling retail products and booking follow-ups.
- 6Adapt your service style to each client's needs, ensuring comfort and satisfaction even during busy shifts.
- 7Support team members with side work and opening/closing duties as needed, keeping the studio running smoothly.
- 8Log client notes and preferences in our booking system to personalize future visits and increase loyalty.
Requirements8
- 1Current state license as an Esthetician or Cosmetologist in Minnesota.
- 21+ years of hands-on experience performing waxing and skin care services in a professional setting.
- 3Strong communication skills to explain treatments, manage expectations, and educate clients on aftercare.
- 4Time management mastery to keep appointments on schedule without rushing the client experience.
- 5Adaptability to handle walk-ins, schedule changes, and varied client needs with a positive attitude.
- 6Self-motivation to meet personal sales goals and pursue ongoing education in advanced waxing and lash lifts.
- 7Team-first mindset, sharing best practices and supporting coworkers during peak hours.
