Overview
Lead epidemiology and surveillance strategy for public health data modernization programs at Guidehouse. You will own scientific direction, methodological rigor, and quality assurance for analytics products supporting population health decisions. Direct multidisciplinary teams of epidemiologists, data scientists, and informaticists to build surveillance datasets, dashboards, and AI-enabled tools. Drive modernization with AWS, Databricks, and Python to deliver actionable insights for federal clients. What You'll Do10
- 1Lead surveillance strategy, epidemiologic methodology, and data interpretation across complex public health analytics initiatives.
- 2Oversee development of surveillance datasets, analytic products, dashboards, and reports using SQL and R.
- 3Guide advanced epidemiologic analyses and statistical modeling with Python and SAS to measure population health trends.
- 4Direct quality assurance reviews to ensure scientific rigor and reproducibility of data, methods, and findings.
- 5Advise clients on surveillance strategy, emerging public health issues, and data modernization approaches.
- 6Mentor multidisciplinary teams of epidemiologists, analysts, and data scientists to deliver high-impact products.
- 7Translate complex findings into strategic recommendations for executive leadership and decision makers.
- 8Support modernization of surveillance environments through automation, cloud technologies, and AI-enabled capabilities.
- 9Lead scientific dissemination including publications, conference presentations, and stakeholder briefings.
- 10Drive business development and thought leadership within Guidehouse's Health AI/Data practice.
Requirements7
- 1MPH, MS, DrPH, or PhD in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health, or Health Data Science.
- 210+ years leading epidemiology, surveillance, or public health analytics programs.
- 3Experience leading large-scale surveillance initiatives and multidisciplinary teams.
- 4Expertise in epidemiologic methods, statistical analysis, and complex health dataset interpretation.
- 5Proficiency with SAS, R, Python, SQL, or equivalent analytical platforms.
- 6U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency with ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust clearance.
- 7Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.
